Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Business Development Director to lead our Business Development function in Mexico. This role will be instrumental in driving the firm’s strategic growth by identifying and developing business opportunities among real-economy corporates and trade-exposed businesses. The Business Development Director will collaborate closely with the Risk Management team to close opportunities and deliver tailored solutions that effectively address underlying exposures and cross-border flows.
Key Responsabilities
- Client Targeting: Identify opportunities and effectively reach prospects by leveraging their own network and cold outreach.
- Client Relationship Management: Ensure clients benefit from the firm's solutions holistically and build strong, long-lasting relationships.
- Cross-selling opportunities: Actively work with existing and new clients to cross-sell services.
- Partner Relationships: Develop and support partners in their personal BD activities, including monthly meetings and agenda management.
- Communication: Lead BD activities locally, ensuring proactive communication and information sharing.
- Campaigns and Content: Support the delivery and promotion of marketing campaigns, measuring and reporting on ROI.
- Events: Lead and assist flagship and practice-led client events, managing client lists and capturing ROI.
- Mentor and coach business development team members in the region.
Requirements
- 6–10+ years in business development, with a preference being given to those who have worked in financial services previously. Strong strategic, analytical, presentation, and negotiation skills.
